Radicalized Fulani Muslim herdsmen continue a years-long genocidal slaughter of Christians in Nigeria: on September 20, herdsmen attacked a village in Nasarawa state, killing one Christian and wounding three others, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. With well over 50,000 Christians murdered by Islamic militants since 2009, Nigeria was recently described by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom as a “killing field” for Christians.

The slaughter and kidnapping of Christians in Nigeria by Islamic terrorists continues unabated: 15 Christians were murdered and 32 kidnapped in Kaduna State on Friday, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. 

The pastor and two other members of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Nigeria’s Plateau State were kidnapped last week by armed terrorists, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. Plagued by Islamic terror groups who have murdered, kidnapped, and displaced tens of thousands of Christians since 2009, Nigeria ranks 6th on the US Open Doors World Watch List 2023 of the top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted.

Fulani herdsmen murdered 37 Christians in Nigeria’s Plateaus State during a spate of attacks carried out over the last five weeks, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. Eight members of Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYCS) who are believed to be Christians have been abducted by suspected Islamic gunmen in the country’s northwestern Zamfara State, several sources said Tuesday.

As part of an ongoing campaign of terror, murder, displacement and destruction of livelihood against Nigerian Christians in Plateau State, Fulani jihadists sent written warnings to specific local Christian communities at the weekend, advising them of impending attacks in specific locations, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. Notably, the jihadists pointed out that no Nigerian security forces would come to the aid of the Christians if they valued their own lives.

Leaders from the Church of Christ in Nations (CAN) denomination in Nigeria have called for all Christians to beseech God for His mercy on their land as Fulani Islamic jihadists murdered 11 more Christians in Nigeria’s Plateau state and 20 Christians in neighboring Taraba state in attacks on June 27 and June 25 respectively, Morning Star News (MSN) reports.

Amid the ongoing genocidal persecution of Christians in Nigeria by Islamic jihadists, unidentified gunmen on Saturday stormed the parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ogun State, killing the pastor and abducting seven congregants, the Christian Post (CP) reports. 

In addition to murdering 700 Christians this month, Fulani jihadist herdsmen in Nigeria’s Plateau state also destroyed dozens of farms belonging to believers, with the intent of taking them over to raise livestock, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports.

The “traumatic ordeal” of some 40 worshippers kidnapped from a church in Nigeria’s Kaduna State ended with the release of the remaining 16 captives, but elsewhere more than 20 Christians were killed, Christians confirmed Wednesday.

While Fulani jihadists in Nigeria ignored a government curfew and murdered 15 more Christians in Plateau state this week, the region’s recently inaugurated governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang gave the grieving community a remarkable message of faith and hope, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. Together with Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa, Fulani jihadist herdsmen have murdered well over 50,000 Christians in Nigeria since 2009.
