(Worthy News) – Reiterating his administration’s intent to “help Israel” in its response to the Iranian regime’s October 1 ballistic missile attack on the Jewish state, US President Joe Biden said last week that American and Israeli leaders were “in discussion” about how to respond and that striking Iran’s oil facilities was not off the table, the Times of Israel responded.

Both the US and Israel warned Iran in the immediate aftermath of its launching some 200 missiles at Israel that it could expect a severe response.

Biden has already expressed disapproval for striking Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling on Israel to execute a “proportionate” response to the Iranian barrage which left some 100 houses damaged and a Palestinian man dead.

Addressing a question about whether Israel might strike Iran’s oil facilities, Biden told reporters at the White House on Thursday: “We’re in discussion of that.” While the US is working closely with Israel on formulating a response to Iran, Biden noted: “We don’t ‘allow’ Israel. We advise Israel.”

“I don’t believe there’s going to be an all-out war. I think we can avoid it,” Biden added. I think we can avoid it, but there’s a lot to do yet. A lot to do yet. We’re going to help Israel.”
