US Launches Third Wave of Airstrikes in Syria

(Worthy News) – On Sunday, the United States conducted a third round of airstrikes in eastern Syria, confirmed by the Pentagon. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin characterized these strikes as “precision strikes” directed explicitly at an Iran-linked training facility and a safe house.
“The President has no higher priority than the safety of U.S. personnel, and he directed today’s action to make clear that the United States will defend itself, its personnel, and its interests,” Austin stated.
Iranian-Backed Terrorist Groups Continue Attacks
Iran-backed terrorist groups have executed approximately fifty attacks against U.S. forces in Syria and Iraq since October 17, according to a report by the Associated Press.
The majority of these assaults have been attributed to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, identified by the AIPAC-linked Washington Institute as an “umbrella term used to describe the operations of all Iran-backed militias in Iraq.”
