Ida’s aftermath: Swollen rivers threaten new flooding in parts of Northeast as storms kill dozens (Video)


Screen Shot 2021 09 02 at 11.46.27 PM(Worthy News) – As the remnants of Hurricane Ida walloped the Northeast, killing more than 50 people, other areas are bracing for the storm’s impact as swollen rivers are threatening additional flooding.

The National Weather Service anticipates area rivers will crest and overflow through Friday.

SOME AREAS RECEIVED NINE INCHES OF RAIN

Central Park in New York City received 3.15 inches in an hour, and over nine inches of rain hit parts of Staten Island, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania.

The storm, which included at least seven tornadoes and flash flooding, was caused by a traditional storm merging with the leftovers of Ida.  [ Source: Just the News (Read More…) ]
