(Worthy News) – Militants from Somali Islamist group Al Shabaab attacked a bus in Kenya Friday, killing 11 people, most of whom were assumed to be Christians.
The terrorists stopped the bus en route from Nairobi to Mandera in northern Kenya, where the population is predominantly ethnic Somali, and separated out all the ethnic Kenyans from the crowd.
Two of the Kenyan teachers killed are known to be evangelical Christians, and among the slain are a Christian doctor, three Roman Catholics, and 5 others not yet identified in their affiliation.
Neighboring Somalia is rife with Islamic extremism and the charter of the country includes Sharia law as its highest standard, with extremist groups often filtering over into neighboring places where more Christians are present.
