Pompeo: ‘We’re Finally Realizing’ How ‘Truly Hostile’ China’s Communist Party is to the US
(Worthy News) – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday the United States needs to confront rather than accommodate China’s communist government, saying administrations going back decades had encouraged China’s rise, “even when that rise was at the expense of American values, Western democracy and security, and good common sense.”
“Today, we’re finally realizing the degree to which the Chinese Communist Party is truly hostile to the United States,” he told an audience at the Hudson Institute in New York, delivering an opening salvo in what he said would be several upcoming speeches on the topic.
Pompeo drew a distinction between the people of China and the government, describing the ruling party as “a Marxist-Leninist party focused on a struggle and international domination – we need only listen to the words of their leaders.” [ Source: CNS News (Read More…) ]
