(Worthy News) -Authorities in China’s Zhejiang province demolished a three-story church building in April after declaring that the elevation of its cross was too high.
According to China Aid, Island Head Christian Church in the city of Wenzhou was demolished on the pretense that it was illegally constructed. Although the congregation initially resisted the demolition, they relented after being threatened by Communist officials.
Since 2014, the Communist authorities of Zhejiang province have demolished more than 2,000 church crosses as part of its ongoing “Three Rectifications and One Demolition” campaign.
