Liquid Meth Pours into U.S. (Video)

LOS ANGELES (Worthy News)– Drug traffickers are now disguising methamphetamine, commonly known as meth, as a liquid to smuggle it into the United States. Once in the States, drug smugglers often convert the liquid into crystals — the most sought-after form in the black market.

Turning to liquid meth is the latest innovation for transporting the illicit drug across the border, making it more difficult for border agents to detect.

“Mexico-based transnational criminal organizations are suspected of trafficking 70 percent of the U.S. supply of methamphetamine through the San Diego port of entry alone,” according to a California Department of Justice report.

Earlier this year, a 16-year old stopped at the border near San Diego volunteered to drink his ‘apple’ juice, died in agony the same day from liquid meth.

Last month, in San Bernardino, California, investigators busted a conversion lab along with 206 pounds of crystal meth and another 250 gallons of liquid meth capable of producing over 1,200 pounds of crystal meth. The bust was street valued at $7.2 million.
