ISIS Claims Massacres of 1,700 Iraqi Soldiers (Warning Contains Graphic Photos)

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (Worthy News)– The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) boasted the slaughtering of 1,700 Iraqi soldiers through a series of tweets and shocking photos.

While the number of the alleged massacres could not be verified, the claims are shocking enough designed to terrify their opponents and pre-empt any resistance as the al-Qaeda offshoot group continues to establish a ‘caliphate’ in the region.

ISIS continue to use Twitter to disseminate propaganda as a means of advertising victories in battle.

“Praise be to Allah, who gave Twitter to the mujahedeen so that they may share their joys and not have listen to the BBC, al-Arabia, Al-Jazeera,” an ISIS affiliate wrote on his Twitter page in Arabic.

“Liquidation of the herds of the Safavid arm,” states one tweet, a reference to an Iranian dynasty and, by extension, Shiites.

“They are lions with the weak, but in wars they are ostriches,” says another caption laid over a group of terrified, handcuffed men forced to stand with their heads bent toward their knees.

While ISIS follows al-Qaeda’s jihadist ideology, its so extreme in nature, that it is disowned by al-Qaeda’s leadership in Pakistan. ISIS is known for its brutality as it routinely beheads and crucifies its enemies.
