(Worthy News) – A group of 77 retired U.S. generals and admirals are calling on President Donald Trump to support Israel so they can “finish the job” against Iran and its terrorist networks. They urge action before Iran crosses “the nuclear threshold” and to dismantle its nuclear program before it becomes too late.

A letter signed by 77 retired U.S. generals and admirals, released by the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), was issued just hours before President Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress. The letter warns that a nuclear Iran would pose a serious threat to U.S. national security.

The retired leaders caution that there is limited time to halt Iran’s advancement towards nuclear capabilities. They firmly state that the Islamic Republic must not be allowed to “cross the nuclear threshold.”

The letter detailed recent developments, stating, “Since October 7th, when the Iranian axis initiated a multi-front war against Israel and the United States, Israel has effectively dismantled one Iranian terrorist group after another.”

This action has significantly disrupted the “ring of fire” that was aimed at crippling the Jewish state.

It continues by emphasizing the urgency of the current situation: “Now, it is time to let Israel finish the job against the Iranian axis and stop Iran from crossing the nuclear threshold.” The letter calls for immediate action to roll back Iran’s nuclear program before it is too late.

In the letter, the signatories express what Israel is seeking from the United States: “What Israel seeks from the United States is support to ensure the maximum effectiveness of its actions and manage the risk of Iranian retaliation. We should provide it expeditiously,” the letter emphasizes.

The former leaders emphasize that they do not advocate for military action lightly, acknowledging that diplomacy would be “preferable.” However, they express skepticism about Iran’s willingness to engage in negotiations sincerely.

They highlight the outcomes of past discussions: “Repeated negotiations with Iran over two decades have led to one dangerous result: The world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism now stands on the cusp of developing the world’s most dangerous weapons.”
