(Worthy News) – Around 12,000 people of all ages last month took part in the first “March for Jesus” ever held in Ireland’s capital city of Dublin, Christian Daily International (CDI) reports.

Sponsored by the Dublin-based All Nations Church and Betania Church, the March for Jesus on October 26 saw the inclusion of congregations from diverse denominations and nationalities. Marching through Dublin city center were participants from Ireland’s Grace Romanian Pentecostal Church of God, Iranian Gospel Church, and Grace Romanian Pentecostal Church of God amid dozens of congregations.

The march started at the Garden of Remembrance, with participants praying, waving flags and affirming: “Jesus is the Way,” “Jesus is Lord,” “Jesus is King,” “Jesus can change your life,” “Jesus loves Dublin,” and “Jesus loves Ireland.”

Along one of the streets on the route, a worship team sang songs and hymns, such as “Praise the Lord, Oh my soul” and “How Great Thou Art,” CDI reports.

In a Facebook post following the event, March for Jesus organizers wrote: “What an incredible day!! United in faith, love, and joy to March the name of Jesus! Grateful for the chance to walk alongside so many passionate souls, lifting His name and spreading His light in our city.Let’s keep shining and sharing His love every day!”
