(Worthy News) – Iranian-backed militia groups in Iran threatened Saudi Arabia for allegedly supporting Israel and aiding in the “battle against the Palestinians.” The groups reiterated previous threats towards Riyadh and criticized the “malicious role of Saudi Arabia’s rulers in using their land routes to sustain the conflict against the Palestinians.”

Kataib Hezbollah, also known as Hezbollah Brigades, an Iranian terrorist militia group based in Iraq, accused the United States, stating, “America supports the killing of Palestinians by backing Zionists and providing bombs used in massacres and genocide against children, women, and innocents. The recent Al-Mawasi massacre in Gaza highlights this amid U.S. provocation and global silence on Zionist brutality.”

The Iranian-backed militia group also threatened Saudi Arabia, stating, “The complicity of normalization states and the malevolent role of Saudi rulers in using their land routes to sustain the battle against Palestinians will not go unnoticed. The kingdom and its Red Sea allies will face consequences for their actions.”

Finally, the terrorist organization warned of further escalation against Israel, stating, “The Zionist enemy only understands the language of weapons, and what is taken by force can only be recovered by force, necessitating an increase in the pace of operations.”

In 2009, the U.S. Department of State designated Kataib Hezbollah as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. By January 2024, the U.S. Department of Defense concluded that this Iran-backed militia group likely carried out an attack in Jordan, killing three U.S. service members and injuring over 40 others.

Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, another Iranian-backed militia in Iraq, hinted at aggressive actions against Saudi Arabia on Monday, accusing it of supporting Israel.

Firas al-Yasser, a member of the Iraqi Hezbollah al-Nujaba faction, told Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper that militias are now focusing on Saudi Arabia. This shift follows intelligence indicating that the kingdom has been aiding Israel, specifically in its efforts against the Houthis in Yemen.

In March 2019, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo designated Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, all its aliases and components, and its leader Akram al-Kaabi as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT).
