Israeli Officials Increasingly Concerned About New War Front Against Houthis in Yemen

(Worthy News) – In an exclusive report Wednesday (July 3), i24News said Israeli security officials are increasingly concerned that Israel will have to face a new war front as Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen expand their influence across North Africa, Sudan, Egypt, and Morocco in order to attack the Jewish state from these regions.
The Houthis have been launching missiles toward Israel and at Israeli-alinged ships in the Red Sea since announcing they were joining the war against Israel which Hamas triggered with its Oct.7 massacre. Hamas and the Houthis are Shia Isalmic terror groups which are supported by the Iranian regime that is sworn to the destruction of Israel.
The heightened concerns about the Houthi threat derive from information obtained by Israeli intelligence, i24News said. ‘The Houthis are reportedly planning to deploy fighters from Yemen to bolster their presence in these countries, posing a direct threat to Israeli interests in the Mediterranean region. Intelligence sources indicate ongoing efforts to transfer weapons to these newly targeted areas,” i24News said in its report.
“Recent developments have also seen Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah engaging with Houthis and Shiite militias in Iraq, suggesting a coordinated effort to expand influence,” i24News said.
New information received by Israeli intelligence officials shows that Iran is “actively extending its influence” through proxies in Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan and, now, the Horn of Africa (home to Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia as well), i24News added.
