Coalition Spends $100 Million On Abortion Access Across US (Worthy News Investigation)

WASHINGTON (Worthy News) – A new coalition of pro-abortion groups has vowed to spend $100 million over the next decade to restore access to abortion across the United States. The amount comes on top of at least $165 million for pro-abortion campaigns allocated by three groups this election season, according to a Worthy News assessment.
The groups made the pledge to mark the second anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the Roe v. Wade ruling that enabled abortion throughout the nation. They said they want to make abortion more accessible than ever before.
The groups, including tax-funded Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and Reproductive Freedom for All, are banding together to form Abortion Access Now.
They say the 10-year campaign aims to prepare pro-abortion policies when Democrats control the U.S. Congress and the White House and build public support for their views.
Additionally, more than 100 million dollars will be spent by pro-abortion institutions to support U.S. President Joe Biden and allies during upcoming presidential elections, Worthy News learned.
Amid the turmoil, the anti-abortion National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) made clear it was time not to pit a mother against an unborn child. The Supreme Court “correctly decided that a right to abortion is not in the Constitution,” noted NRLC President Carol Tobias.
She stressed that the Supreme Court gave the “American people, through their elected representatives, a voice in protecting the right to life.”
INNOCENT HUMAN LIVES
However, “Two years later, instead of working to protect innocent human lives and working to create safety nets for women in need, pro-abortion groups and their sympathizers, including the Biden-Harris administration, have doubled down on promoting unlimited abortions and protecting the abortionists who do them,” Tobias complained.
Tobias argued that the U.S. Democrats supporting Biden routinely voice support for “choice,” but in reality, “supports unlimited abortion on demand fully funded by the taxpayers” while “denying” extending medical care to abortion survivors
She said that her group and other “pro-life” activists are “focusing on changing the culture and changing hearts and minds.”
U.S. President Joe Biden has promised to reinstate the protections first afforded in Roe v. Wade if elected—a goal requiring beating several legal obstacles and Democrats winning control of Congress.
His opponent, former President Donald Trump, has taken credit for the overturning of Roe and said he plans to leave abortion access up to the states.
Planned Parenthood plans to spend $40 million in the months leading up to the November election to support President Biden and other Democrats. However, observers say that is less than it did in previous elections.
Earlier, the Political Action Committee (PAC) focused on electing Democrats to the U.S. House of Representatives, launched a $100 million abortion rights campaign called the Reproductive Freedom Accountability Fund. The ACLU said it will spend $25 million to support pro-abortion legislators.
However, activists describing themselves as “pro-life” made clear they would not be silenced in their fight for “the protection of the unborn” in America.
