(Worthy News) – Former President Donald Trump on Monday said he’d agree to a drug test before the first presidential debate on Thursday and he wants opponent President Joe Biden to do the same.
Some Republicans and conservative pundits claimed without evidence that President Joe Biden used some type of performance-enhancing drug before his State of the Union address and would do so again at Thursday’s debate.
“Drug test for crooked Joe Biden???,” Trump wrote Monday on Truth Social in an all caps post. “I would, also, immediately agree to one!!!”
In May, Trump said during a GOP dinner that he would “demand a drug test” before the debate because Biden was “as high as a kite” during his State of the Union speech.
Trump, 78, is challenging Biden, 81, for the White House in November.
Both men are the presumptive nominees of their respective parties and reportedly went through extensive negotiations to settle on the terms of the debate, which is planned for Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jake Tapper and Dana Bash of CNN will host the debate, which is expected to last 90 minutes. For the first time in decades, there will be no live audience.
