(Worthy News) – World-renowned Christian speaker and New York Times Best Selling Author Nick Vujicic has been in Israel visiting and encouraging soldiers who were severely wounded fighting in the ongoing war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, All Israel News (AIN) reports.

The war was triggered on Oct. 7 when Palestinian terror group Hamas invaded Israel and carried out a genocidal massacre of civilians while also taking some 250 hostages to the Strip.

An Australian from Melbourne, Nick Vujicic was born without arms or legs. Overcoming tremendously difficult physical circumstances, Vujicic’s faith in Christ has carried him to a victorious, fruitful life: this month he visited Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv, Israel to encourage some of the Israel Defense Forces soldiers who have lost limbs among other serious physical and emotional injuries.

In a video made by CBN News, Vujicic can be seen and heard sharing his own experience and hope with wounded Israeli soldiers around him. “When we look different, we are the ones that everyone looks at,” Vujicic noted. “And so the fact that we still exist, the fact that we sometimes smile, the fact that we keep on going out there, there are many people who say, ‘wow,’ if he didn’t give up, then I’m not gonna give up,” he shared.

After meeting with Vujicic, wounded soldier Rozenrut told CBN News: “It’s giving me a perspective to see that, okay, everything is okay. I just lost one limb. But if Nick got a career and an amazing family there is no reason that I won’t get it too.”

Telling CBN News that he met with people both privately and in a small group setting, Vujicic said: It was a time that I think was very encouraging for them deeply. And it’s wonderful to see hope in their eyes as well.”
