(Worthy News) – A prominent Hezbollah terrorist was killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Monday morning, as the group continued attacks on northern Israel. On early Tuesday, firefighters battled blazes across northern Israel, sparked the day before by Hezbollah’s rockets and drones from Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces reported conducting a drone strike against Hussein Sabra in the village of Kauthariyet al-Rez in the Sidon District. Sabra, a member of Hezbollah’s force build-up unit, was involved in enhancing the group’s air defense capabilities with new equipment.

Meanwhile, firefighters battled fires across northern Israel, sparked by intensified cross-border skirmishes with Hezbollah. The Iran-backed group recently fired numerous barrages at the Galilee and Golan Heights. According to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, Sunday’s rocket and drone attacks caused bushfires that consumed over 2,470 acres of foliage, including nature reserves.

The Israel Fire and Rescue Services reported that over 30 firefighting crews were working to extinguish the fires, which led to the closure of several major roads in the Galilee area. The fire department emphasized there was no current threat to lives or homes, stating it was “working hard to protect communities and property.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that he held a meeting with senior security officials regarding “developments in northern Israel” and received updates on the firefighting efforts.

In a separate incident, Iran’s semi-official news agency SNN reported on Monday that an Iranian Revolutionary Guards adviser was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Syria the previous day.
