Israel Prepare to Retailate If Iran Strikes As CENTCOM Chief Lands in Israel

(Worthy News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran, stressing that Israel would retaliate if attacked, coinciding with Gen. Michael Kurilla, the chief of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), arrival to Israel, whose visit is centered around discussions on what US intelligence officials are calling an “imminent” threat emanating from Tehran.
A Bloomberg report on Wednesday night, citing intelligence sources, revealed that the US and its allies are bracing for an imminent Iranian missile or UAV attack on Israel. Drawing from Israeli and US intelligence assessments, the report highlighted that officials believe there’s a high likelihood of using precision-guided missiles to target Israel’s military and governmental facilities.
“We are in challenging times. We are in the midst of a war in Gaza that is continuing with full force. In addition, we are continuing with ceaseless efforts to return our hostages, but we are also preparing for challenges from other fronts,” Netanyahu stated at an Israeli air force base.
Netanyahu stated, “We set a simple principle: Anyone who hits us, we hit them,” seemingly in response to Iranian threats of launching strikes against Israel. He added, “We are ready to fulfill our responsibilities to Israel’s security, in defense and attack.”
According to Axios, which initially reported Kurilla’s anticipated visit on Wednesday, stated that US and Israeli officials have communicated in recent days for a potential Iranian retaliation for an alleged Israeli airstrike within an Iranian consular building within its embassy complex in Damascus, that resulted in the death of two generals and several officers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
In response to Iran’s threats, the United States has, as a precautionary measure, limited personal travel for its employees in Israel and their families to within the broader areas of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba.
