(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces reported that in a two-day operation at the Shifa Hospital complex, the largest medical facility in northern Gaza, they killed roughly 50 terrorists associated with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, while arresting around 300 others.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the group included high-ranking and mid-level officials responsible for managing activities, addressing public relations matters, and directing widespread rocket launch strategies and operations. Many are currently being interrogated on-site by the IDF’s Special Intelligence Unit 504.
Lt. Col. Dotan, Commander of the 932nd Battalion, stated, “During the raid, we identified terrorists hiding in this area. We managed to eliminate several terrorists and find many weapons in the area. We will continue the operation until we finish it well and eliminate all the terrorists in the area.”
The military action began during the overnight hours between Sunday and Monday, and led to the elimination of Hamas Interior Ministry Operations Chief Faack Mabhouh, who held a rank equivalent to an IDF Brigade Commander.
During the course of the two-day mission, the IDF reported two casualties. Chief Warrant Officer (res.) Sebastian Haion, 51, from Rosh Ha’ayin, and Staff Sgt. Matan Vinogradov, a 20-year-old from Jerusalem.
