(Worthy News) – The Iranian-backed terror groups, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas, have declared their intention for Ramadan to be a “month of terror,” calling for the “continuation of the Battle of al-Aqsa” as they called for Islamic nations to unify against Israel.

Osama Hamdan, the Hamas commander in Lebanon, has urged Palestinians to escalate confrontations during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which is scheduled from March 11th to April 9th. He emphasized the importance of making “every moment of Ramadan a confrontation.”

While Muslim religious leaders describe Ramadan as “a month of forgiveness, repentance, and atonement,” the situation on the streets in Palestinian-controlled territories tells a different story, with Ramadan becoming synonymous with violence and terror. In Israel, the holy month is increasingly marred by acts of terror and bloodshed fueled by religious and nationalist fervor.

“We call on the people of our Palestinian people in the occupied territories, Jerusalem and the West Bank, to escalate the confrontation of the occupation everywhere,” Hamas wrote in a message posted on Telegram.

They also called on Palestinians “to mobilize and march to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, to protect it from the desecration of the usurping settlers, and to thwart all fascist plans targeting the Holy Mosque and the Holy City.”

These sentiments were echoed by the Iranian-backed Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) over the weekend.

Abu Hamza, the spokesperson for the PIJ’s Al-Quds Brigades, called on Arab countries in the region to continue efforts to “unify” different battlefields and strategies against Israel and called on its Islamic partners not to “lag in the battle led by the heroes of the resistance in the Gaza Strip, on behalf of the Islamic nation, especially those who possess armies, planes, and cannons.”

“There is no excuse for anyone to refrain from the battle. We are able to continue the battle, no matter how long it lasts. Our message to the enemy and the leader of the herd, Netanyahu, is that the issue of the next day in Gaza is determined only by the Palestinian resistance,” Hamza said in a video statement issued over the weekend.

“I call upon our people in the West Bank and holy Jerusalem to go out and attack the enemy. I call upon the Arab and Islamic nations to make the first day of Ramadan an international day of support for Gaza,” Hamza stated.

“Isn’t it time for you to raise your guns like the free people in Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq? Isn’t it time for you to take off the garment of slavery and humiliation to America, the Great Satan, and follow the example of the honorable?” Hamza asked.

“Just as you turn to God in prayer and fasting, turn to the land of Israel with weapons,” concluded Hamza.

The incitements from these terrorist organizations occurred over the weekend while Western nations were actively seeking to mediate a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Along with seeking a ceasefire, Western countries are exploring an opportune moment to announce the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian State, aiming to satisfy demands from Saudi Arabia. This move by the West is part of a broader effort to facilitate the normalization of relations between Arab nations and Israel.

However, the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas has reportedly hardened support from Arabs towards Israel.

A February survey by the Arab Center in Washington, D.C. (ACW) reveals that nearly 90% of the Arab world is against the normalization of relations with Israel, showcasing the deep-rooted resistance and opposition within the region.
