Biden Kicks Off Campaign Declaring Trump Is Threat To Democracy, As Democrats Try To Throw Trump Off The Ballot

(Worthy News) — During a reelection campaign launch at a suburban Philadelphia community college, President Joe Biden criticized Donald Trump as a threat to American democracy as the Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal by Trump to be included in the March Republican Presidential Primary Ballot in Colorado.
Several states have sought to exclude Trump from the presidential primary ballot, citing his involvement in the January 6, 2021 events as grounds for disqualification under the 14th amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Earlier in the week, Trump filed an appeal after Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, a Democrat, struck his name from the presidential primary ballot.
“Trump talks about the blood of America being poisoned, echoing the same exact language used in Nazi Germany,” Biden said in his campaign speech. “He proudly posts on social media the words that best describe his 2024 campaign: ‘Revenge. Power. Dictatorship.’”
“There’s no confusion about who Trump is or what he intends to do,” Biden said. “Trump is trying to steal history the same way he tried to steal the election.”
A Monmouth poll revealed that 30% of participants think Biden’s victory in the 2020 election was due to voter fraud. While 93% of Democrats assert Biden won fairly, only 21% of Republicans agree, with 68% of them attributing his win to voter fraud.
Last month, Worthy News reported a survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute, over 20% of voters who cast their ballots by mail in the 2020 election reported that they did so fraudulently.
The 2020 election was so close that The Washington Post reported in February 2021 that Republicans came within 90,000 votes of controlling all of Washington. [Read the full PDF version of the Washington Post article.]
Meanwhile, a recent textbook for Russian students alleges that former President Donald Trump’s loss in the 2020 presidential election was the result of voter fraud by the Democrats, Newsweek reported.
However, during his speech near Valley Forge, Biden asserted that he is the defender of democracy, opposing Trump or any potential Republican nominee.
“The defense, protection, and preservation of American democracy will remain, as it has been, the central cause of my presidency,” Biden said. “These MAGA voices who know the truth about Trump … have abandoned truth and abandoned democracy. They made their choice. Now the rest of us – Democrats, independents, mainstream Republicans – have to make ours.”
