Israel Carries Out ‘Extensive’ Airstrikes in Gaza
by Emmitt Barry, Worthy News Correspondent
(Worthy News) – On Friday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had conducted airstrikes on over 450 targets in the Gaza Strip over the past day as ground operations intensified.
The targets were military facilities, surveillance outposts, tunnel shafts, and arms storage facilities, the IDF said.
Israel Air Force drones executed a sustained series of strikes in the southern Gaza area of Khan Yunis. The IDF reported that the strikes, spanning approximately two hours, resulted in the death of “numerous” Hamas operatives.
Over the last day, the Israeli Navy conducted strikes in Gaza using guided munitions and shells, according to the IDF.
The IDF reported that soldiers from the Combat Engineering Corps’ 749th Reserve Battalion demolished structures housing Hamas infrastructure at Al-Azhar University in Gaza City.
“The findings show that the Hamas terror organization used the university building for the purpose of fighting against our forces,” the IDF said.
