(Worthy News) – Clashes along the Lebanese border persisted on Monday as Hezbollah terrorists fired rockets and deployed drones in northern Israel, causing substantial damage to an Israeli army base during one of the attacks.
Since the beginning of the ‘Simchat Torah War’ which began on October 8, Hezbollah has launched more than 1,000 rockets, mortars, missiles, and drones towards Israel, according to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Armed Hezbollah terrorists, equipped with mortars and rockets, launched an attack on Biranit and the Israeli-Arab town of al-Aramshe in the Western Galilee shortly after noon on Monday, triggering emergency sirens in the region.
Significant destruction was evident in Biranit, a former kibbutz repurposed as an Israeli Defense Force (IDF) army base, during the recent attack. The video footage reviewed by Worthy News showed the extent of damage demolished buildings in Biranit.
In retaliation to the attacks, the IDF announced that fighter jets, combat helicopters, and tanks targeted Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon.
Last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hezbollah, stating that the group was “playing with fire.”
“There are those who think they can expand their attacks against our troops and against civilians. This is playing with fire,” warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week.
“Fire will be met with much stronger fire. They must not try us, because we have displayed only a little part of our power. We will harm those who harm us,” stated Netanyahu.
