(Worthy News) – American bases were attacked four times by Iranian-backed groups in the Middle East following a U.S. strike on an Iranian facility in Syria last Wednesday, the Pentagon has confirmed.
Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh has confirmed that these attacks now total 46 since October 17, following the ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas.
“If these attacks continue against our personnel, we won’t hesitate at a time and place of our choosing to respond again,” stated Singh at a Pentagon briefing.
The recent attacks come in the aftermath of a U.S. airstrike on Wednesday that targeted a significant weapons facility in Syria utilized by both Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated Iranian-backed militants.
“The message to terrorists must be clear: attacks on U.S. service members, assets, and interests will not be tolerated,” stated Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Hitting a storage facility should not be the final response by the U.S.”
