BEIRUT/JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israel faced a second front Saturday with the Lebanon-based Hezbollah group warning it will join the Hamas war against Israel.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, in an address during a protest, stated: “We in Hezbollah are participating in this war [to an extent], and we are closely and carefully monitoring the situation, for whenever the time arrives for us to act…we will.”

Hezbollah and Israel exchanged fire, while Israel warned the group to stay out of the war, Worthy News monitored.

Yet Hezbollah, like Hamas designated a terrorist organization by most Western nations, has shared video footage to propagandize their “precise strikes” on Israeli bases Saturday.

The group said it reacted to Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip after what Israeli officials view as the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, also known as Shoah.

It has expressed support for Hamas, the group that killed at least 1,300 people in Israel since it launched an offensive more than a week ago.

IRAN MINISTER

Both groups are backed by Iran as they both seek the destruction of Israel. More evidence emerged Saturday of Iran’s direct support for Hamas and Hezbollah.

Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran’s foreign minister, arrived in Qatar to meet with Hamas leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh, footage obtained by Worthy News showed.

Earlier this week, he held talks with Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and other representatives and Syrian officials.

With tensions rising, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier belonging to the U.S. Navy, departed from its homeport in Norfolk, officials said, amid concern about security challenges faced by Israel.

It is expected to be en route to the Eastern Mediterranean, possibly supporting the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, already positioned off the coast of Israel.
