(Worthy News) – A founding member and leader of the Hamas Palestinian terror group from 2004 to 2017, Khaled Meshaal has called on Muslims around the world to hold anti-Israeli demonstrations and for Arab nations to take up arms against Israel as part of a global day of jihad on Friday, October 13, 2023, the New York Post reports.

While his fellow Hamas members are being targeted by Israeli strikes on Gaza for their horrifying attacks on Israeli civilians since last Saturday, Meshaal made his rallying cry from Qatar, where he has lived since 2012.

Calling for the mobilization of the Islamic world against Israel, Meshaal said in a recorded statement he sent to Reuters: “[We must] head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday. To all scholars who teach jihad … to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application [of jihad].”
Meshaal went on to specifically call for the governments and peoples of Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan to join Hamas’ war against Israel, the Post said.

“Tribes of Jordan, sons of Jordan, brothers and sisters of Jordan … This is a moment of truth, and the borders are close to you; you all know your responsibility,” Meshaal said.

In the October 7 deadliest attack on Jews in 75 years, Hamas terrorists committed horrifying war crimes, slaughtering 1,200 Israelis.

More than 100 Israeli civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, have been taken hostage to Gaza. Israel is currently retaliating with air strikes on Hamas targets in Gaza, and by cutting off essential supplies to Gaza to force the terrorists to give up the hostages.
