Netanyahu: Israel Is At War And Will Launch Historic Battle

JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his nation Monday that Israel will launch a historic battle against the enemies of the Jewish nation.
“What we will do to our enemies in the coming days will reverberate with them for generations,” he said in televised remarks redistributed by Worthy News.
“We have only started striking Hamas,” he added.
It comes after more than 900 Israelis were massacred by Hamas militants entering Israel from the Gaza Strip. Thousands have been injured.
Therefore, “What Hamas will experience will be difficult and terrible … we are going to change the Middle East,” Netanyahu told officials visiting Jerusalem from the country’s south, where Hamas militants carried out a surprise attack on Saturday morning.
Hamas militants stormed towns and communities in southern Israel at dawn on Saturday under the cover of a barrage of rocket fire in the deadliest attack on the country in decades.
GAZA SIEGE
Israel has retaliated by intensifying air strikes on the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamist group, and mobilizing 300,000 reservists for a possible ground offensive.
It also sealed off food, fuel, and other supplies, prompting an angry reaction from rights activists.
“Depriving the population in an occupied territory of food and electricity is collective punishment, which is a war crime,” Omar Shakir, Israel and Palestine director at Human Rights Watch, said in a statement.
However, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant called for more destruction on top of the massive number of airstrikes Israel has launched into the Hamas-ruled territory of 2.3 million people.
“We are fighting human animals, and we act accordingly,” Gallant said, referring to the Nikita jet group Hamas’ surprise attack this weekend that left more than 900 people in Israel dead.
Israel formally declared war on the Hamas militant group on Sunday.
