Israel Mobilizes 300,000 Reservists; Gaza Siege Announced

JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israel mobilized a record 300,000 reservists and imposed a complete siege on the Gaza Strip to respond to a multi-front Hamas terror group attack from Gaza, the chief military spokesperson confirmed.
The mobilization comes as more than 700 Israelis, including at least 73 members of the security forces, were killed in Israel in a surprise attack that has raised questions about the Jewish nation’s intelligence gathering.
Israeli aircraft were hit Gaza targets, and ground forces battled to retake border villages and towns overrun by Palestinian gunmen around the 50th anniversary of the Yum Kippur War.
Chief military spokesperson Rear-Admiral Daniel Hagari said control of those communities had been re-established, but that isolated clashes continued as some gunmen remained active. “We are now carrying out searches in all of the communities and clearing the area,” he said in a televised briefing.
Video, verified by Worthy News, emerged as Israel ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip, halting the entry of food, fuel, and supplies to the Palestinian enclave’s 2.3 million people.
The announcement came as Israel’s military pounded the Hamas-ruled territory with waves of airstrikes.
Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said: “I ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel; everything is closed. We are fighting human animals, and we act accordingly.”
150 TARGETS HIT
Israel claimed Monday that it hit 150 targets in Shuja’iyya, a neighborhood district of the Palestinian city of Gaza, saying it is used as a “terror nest” by Hamas. Many attacks against Israel began there, including the recent incursion by Hamas militants into Israel, according to Israel’s military.
Footage was also released of Israel apparently hitting infrastructure of the Hezbollah terror group across the border in Lebanon which expressed support for Hamas actions. Both are backed by Iran.
With the siege and attacks ongoing, the Gaza Strip will run out of diesel, and Israel has threatened “full retribution” for any fuel entering Gaza, Worthy News learned from well-informed sources.
As fighting continued and more forces were rushed to the multiple battlefields, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) issued footage of “one father out of thousands of parents who have had to say goodbye to their children, as 300,000 Israelis report for reserve duty.”
An unnamed father in the IDF photo was quoted as telling his child: “I promised him I’ll be back soon.”
The IDF said its forces “and the people of Israel will stand strong and united in the face of any threat.”
