Joe Biden hosts largest pride event in White House history
(Worthy News) – The White House hosted the largest LGBTQ event in its history on Saturday. The White House hosted an “all-American picnic” on the South Lawn to celebrate “America’s LGBTQ families” for Pride month.
President Joe Biden told the crowd on the South Lawn, “Today, I want to send a message to the entire community — especially to transgender children: You are loved. You are heard. You’re understood. And you belong.”
Biden claimed, “For all the progress we’ve made, we know challenges still remain. When a person can be married in the morning but thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, something is still very wrong in America.”
Biden slammed Republican-led states for passing laws prohibiting teachers from discussing gender or sexuality with young students, restricting sexualized drag queen shows in front of minors, and banning transgender surgery for underage children. [ Source (Read More…) ]
