‘Mysterious Light Flash’ Above Kyiv

KYIV/WASHINGTON (Worthy News) – A mysterious light that briefly eliminated the skies above Ukraine’s capital Kyiv late Wednesday has generated alarm and questions as the U.S. space agency NASA denied its involvement.
A “bright glow” was observed over Kyiv around 10:00 p.m. local time, said the head of Kyiv’s military administration Sergiy Popko.
However, NASA quickly stressed that the strange light wasn’t caused by its satellite reentering the atmosphere.
The space agency had announced earlier this week that a retired 660-pound (300-kilogram) satellite would re-enter the atmosphere on Wednesday
Yet, Ukraine’s air force seemed confident it was not caused by one of the many familiar Russian air attacks and suggested the flash might have been a meteorite.
An air raid alert was activated, but “air defense was not in operation,” Popko said on social media.
Whatever it was, the light was a brief curious interruption for the many people suffering in the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine.
