NEW YORK (Worthy News) – Former U.S. President Donald Trump will be charged with a crime over an alleged hush money payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels, several sources said Thursday.

He was due to be arranged in a New York criminal court next Tuesday, April 4, though the date could still change, sources familiar with the case said.

Trump is the first former U.S. president to be indicted on criminal charges prompting an angry reaction from Mike Pence, the former vice president.

Pence described the indictment of his ex-boss boss as an “outrage” and “great disservice to the country.” Like other Republicans, he called the expected arrest of Trump, a political move from the prosecutor and said that “the American people will see right through it.”

The court proceedings were likely to take between 10 and 15 minutes, according to sources familiar with the case.

Daniels claims she and Trump had sex and that she accepted $130,000 from his former lawyer before the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence on the encounter.

The lawyer, Michael Cohen, was later jailed on multiple charges. Trump has vehemently denied sexual involvement with Daniels since the allegations surfaced in 2018.

BUSINESS EXPENSE?

The payment was legal – but Trump allegedly recorded it as a business expense. Falsifying business records is illegal in New York, although it is not yet clear what exactly Trump will be charged with, experts said.

Daniels “thanked supporters” and said merchandise and autograph orders were “pouring in” following the president’s indictment.

However, amid fears of violence, Pence urged people not to protest after Trump urged his supporters to rally behind him.

Trump, he said, “can take care of himself in a courtroom, and he ought to be focussing on that right now.”

At least some of his most fervent supporters, too, discouraged mass demonstrations.

They claim the storming of the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, in Washington D.C. was at least partly instigated by federal agents and anti-fascist “Antifa” activists.

Some point to recently broadcast security footage showing Jacob Chansley, better known as the QAnon Shaman, who wore a buffalo headdress, being escorted around the Capitol by police. He could also be seen praying for the country in the Senate chamber.

“GRACE OF GOD”

He allegedly told law enforcement officials that he accessed “by the grace of God” — with references to Jesus and possible hints of Christian nationalism.

Chansley thanked the “Heavenly Father” for “filling this chamber with patriots that love you and that love Christ” and for “allowing the United States of America to be reborn.”

He was released early from prison after revelations of the “exculpatory evidence in previously concealed security video footage,” The Washington Times reported Thursday.

Chansley, 35, was sentenced to 41 months in prison after pleading guilty in 2021 to civil disorder and violent entry to the Capitol.

His lawyer, Albert S. Watkins, said his client was taken to a halfway house 14 months before the end of his prison sentence.

He was set to be released from the Phoenix halfway house on May 25.
