Inflation up 8.5% from year ago, 40-year high, according Labor Department’s March CPI report

(Worthy News) – The cost of consumer goods increased 8.5 % in March, compared to 12 months earlier, the Labor Department reported Tuesday.
The agency’s Consumer Price Index report also showed consumer prices from February to March increased 1.2%, the sharpest month-to-month jump since 2005, according to the Associated Press.
