New study claims China created COVID-19 in lab, then ‘retro-engineered’ to cover their tracks
(Worthy News) – A new study alleges that Chinese scientists developed COVID-19 in a lab and then sought to obfuscate by reverse-engineering virus versions to cause it to appear the illness evolved from bats.
“For a year we have possessed prima facie evidence of retro-engineering in China in early 2020,” British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen claim in their work, according to the Daily Mail.
“We think that there have been retro-engineered viruses created,” Dalgleish informed the outlet. “They’ve changed the virus, then tried to make out it was in a sequence years ago,” he said. [ Source: Just the News (Read More…) ]
Wuhan Lab ‘Still Up And Running,’ Former CIA Director Says
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Saturday that the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) was engaged in military activity alongside its civilian research — amid renewed scrutiny of the theory that the COVID-19 pandemic emerged from the secretive lab.
“What I can say for sure is this: we know that they were engaged in efforts connected to the People’s Liberation Army inside of that laboratory, so military activity being performed alongside what they claimed was just good old civilian research,” Pompeo said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”
“They refuse to tell us what it was, they refuse to describe the nature of either of those, they refused to allow access to the World Health Organization when it tried to get in there.” [ Source: Fox News (Read More…) ]
Wuhan Lab Researcher’s Wife Died Of COVID-Like Illness In December 2019, Former Lead US Investigator Says
The wife of a Wuhan lab researcher working on coronaviruses died of what appeared to be COVID-19 in December 2019, the leader of a State Department investigation under the Trump administration told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
It would have been an early clue that the virus could be transmitted among humans, yet Chinese authorities said that the virus was not transmissible for at least a month after they knew it was, allowing it to spread, according to David Asher, who led an investigation on COVID-19’s origins and served in the State Department under Democrat and Republican presidents.
China reported in mid-January that the virus was transmissible among humans. [ Source: Daily Caller (Read More…) ]
Scientists at Wuhan lab in COVID probe admitted being bitten by bats
Scientists at the Chinese lab eyed as a possible source of the coronavirus pandemic were previously filmed getting bitten and spattered with blood while handling bats without protection, according to reports.
The state-run TV footage showed researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) disregarding gloves, masks and other PPE while handling bats and collecting feces in the field, Taiwan News first noted.
In one section, virus expert Cui Jie related how a bat’s fangs once went right through his glove, describing it as feeling “like being jabbed with a needle,” the outlet noted. [ Source: NY Post (Read More…) ]
