(Worthy News) -The chief Brexit negotiator for the European Union stressed Monday the bloc was prepared to “intensify” trade talks with Britain after holding a call with British dealmaker David Frost.
Michel Barnier’s comments appeared to be an attempt to meet a conciliatory tone, but senior cabinet minister Michael Gove seemed to dig in, saying Britain’s “firmness” in negotiations is “paying off.”
“I confirmed that the EU remains available to intensify talks in London this week, on all subjects, and based on legal texts,” Barnier said on Twitter after his phone call with Frost. “We now wait for the [Britain’s] reaction.” [ Source: UPI (Read More…) ]
