(Worthy News) – A new poll has found that 34% of US voters believe a second American civil war is likely, CNS News reported Monday.

Conducted by Rasmussen Reports on June 11 and June 14, the survey also found that one in ten Americans believe a civil war in the next five years is “very likely.” Another 25% said it is “somewhat likely.”

Lowest income voters were significantly more likely to believe a civil war was probable than the highest income voters: 41% of voters earning less $30,000 a year said they believe war is either somewhat likely (32%) or very (19%) likely. Of those earning $200,000 or more, 22% said civil war was somewhat likely and 4% said they thought it was very likely.

When different age groups were asked whether a new civil war is likely, 44% of voters aged 18-39 and 33% of those aged over 65 said it was.

Asked whether the protests over the killing of George Floyd by police would lead to long-term, meaningful racial change in American, 37% of voters said they would. Another 39% of those surveyed said the removal of public Confederacy symbols would help race relations in the country, CNS News reported.
