Iran’s Leader says ‘Liberation of Palestine’ is an Islamic Goal

(Worthy News) – Describing Israel as a “deadly, cancerous growth,” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei announced Friday that the “liberation of Palestine” is an Islamic goal, Jerusalem Online reported. The Ayatollah was speaking on the occasion of International Quds Day, a yearly anti-Israel, anti-Zionist event established by the Iranian regime in 1979 to express support for the Palestinian cause.
Addressing Muslims around the world, Khameini said the struggle to liberate Palestine is “jihad in the way of God” and that “victory has been guaranteed.” The Ayatollah added: “Everyone must assist the Palestinian nation in this holy struggle.”
Accordingly, Khameini said Iran would “support and assist any nation or any group anywhere” in fighting against Israel. He said Iran-backed “resistance” had caused many problems for Israel and that: “God willing, the Zionist regime will encounter even more problems in the future,” the Times of Israel reported.
Describing the establishment of the state of Israel as a crime, the Ayatollah stated: “Among crimes against humanity in recent times, there is no crime that equals this crime in terms of scope and gravity.”
Khameini also attacked Arab nations interested in normalizing relations with Israel, saying that, although they originally fought against the Jewish state, they had: “gradually succumbed… they forgot their human, Islamic and political responsibilities and their Arab pride.”
