(Worthy News) – US Christian streaming services have seen a substantial increase in viewers and membership as families have stayed home in COVID-19 lockdowns, the Christian Post reports.

Pure Flix, a service which offers Christian entertainment for viewers of all ages, has recorded a 40% increase in membership during the lockdown period. Founding partner Michael Scott told the Christian Post: “We continue to draw more and more people closer to God and to each other by offering content that strengthens the faith and values of you and your family. We have also given away tens of thousands of memberships to individuals and families in need.”

Offering Christian teaching for adults and Biblical content for children, RightNow Media has had over 10,000 new trial subscribers in the past month, the Christian Post reports. RightNow media president Brian Mosley told Christian Headlines recently: “In times like these, when the church is forced to operate in new ways, we want to be there to help.”

Meanwhile, 24 Flix has seen a 38% increase in their overall viewing since the national lockdown. “During these unprecedented times, people are looking for positive and uplifting content and I’m glad we’re able to provide exactly that on 24 Flix,” Marty Jean-Louis, head of 24 Flix told the Christian Post last week.

Moreover, the Christian Post reports, although Edmiston’s Christian Vision ministry does not have a streaming service, it has seen a 400% increase in the use of videos on its website.
