Some 132,000 Turn To Christ In ‘Quarantine Revival’

(Worthy News) – More than 130,000 people from across the world, many in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, have decided to follow Jesus Christ after an online evangelism event, organizers said. “We are living through a Great Quarantine Revival, and I think God is just getting started,” explained evangelist Nick Hall, whose Pulse movement organized the virtual program.
He claimed that at least 132,000 people “responded to Jesus” due to the Good Friday broadcast. More than 100 million people watched the ‘Great Quarantine Revival’ program, including through goodfriday.com, the evangelist said citing figures from the Nielsen research group. The service was reportedly viewed in nearly 100 countries, including China, Japan, Nepal, Thailand, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Russia, and Ukraine. It was translated into 40 different languages.
Hall suggested that the broadcasts were also watched in nations where Christians face persecution. “We had translators working in closed countries who were risking their lives to bring this message in their language to their people. Because that’s how precious the Gospel is to them.”
He made clear that the response was overwhelming. “We were getting smartphone photos from all over the world – from Nigeria to India and China,” Hall added in a statement. He saw pictures of “families gathering in their living rooms, around 18-inch cathode-ray TVs, laptops and HD screens watching our services.” Hall noted that “The doors to our church buildings may have been closed, but the church has not closed.”
Pulse also hosted a “Leader Check-In” for church leaders ahead of Easter, featuring ell known evangelists and Gospel artists. Hundreds of thousands watched, the movement said. This month’s online evangelism event is part of broader efforts by Hall, 37, to preach the Gospel to the next generation. He views late evangelist Billy Graham as an example of how to reach those searching for Christ.
Hall’s U.S. based evangelistic movement Pulse already drew stadium crowds across the United States. Before the coronavirus outbreak.
