(Worthy News) – The European Union announced that member nations will close the EU’s external borders for the next 30 days to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday night, in a televised address to his nation, French President Emmanuel Macron said that “all trips between non-European countries and EU countries will be suspended.”
German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced the planned external closings in a press conference on Tuesday.
However, movement within the European member states will still be allowed under the new restrictions.
