Netanyahu and Likud leading Gantz and Blue and White in new polls days before elections

(Worthy News) – Two new polls in Israel show Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud Party leading rival Benny Gantz’s leftist Blue and White Party, which has led in all the polls released since December, ahead of third elections Monday.
An Israel Channel 12 poll gave Likud 34 seats in the Israeli Knesset and Blue and White 33, while a Kan news poll indicated Likud with 35 seats and Blue and White with 34, though neither party looks in good position to gain the 61-seat coalition necessary for a ruling majority in Israel’s 120-member parliament.
“True, not everything was perfect and not everyone is happy, but we have the Trump plan and only we will create the significance of the government that will make it a right-wing government,” Right-wing Knesset member Ofir Sofer of the Yamina Party confidently told Israel National News.
Gantz and Blue and White took another hit when 11 days before the election the government announced an impropriety probe into a company Gantz had once chaired for a $1.2 grant it had received from Israeli police.
