(Worthy News) – Israeli authorities are investigating “nationalistic hate crimes” against a majority Christian town in northern Israel where extremists vandalized vehicles and buildings in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Security camera footage showed three hooded perpetrators whom locals said slashed the tires of 150 vehicles and spray-painted the Star of David with messages like “Jews wake up. Stop assimilating!” on nearby buildings.

“I’ve heard some people tell me ‘Look, what [if] they come and burn your house or burn or car or shoot at your home? Now they are puncturing wheels but what if worse comes?’” said Jish council head Elias Elias, who revealed that three similar attacks had occurred in the last 18 months.

Elias said that Jews from “all over the country” called him to express their solidarity with the Christians and few Muslims of Jish, whom he claimed “live together in coexistence,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin also voicing condemnation of the attacks afterwards.
