Iran admits downing of Ukrainian jet a ‘mistake’

iran - worthy christian news(Worthy News) – Iran conceded on Saturday to having made a “disastrous mistake” in shooting down a Ukrainian airliner that was carrying 176 passengers, an allegation the regime initially denied.

Over 1,000 protestors in Tehran marched in opposition to what the regime said was a misfire resulting from Iranian bases being on high alert following a strike on a US base in Iraq since over 60 of the passengers were Iranians with dual nationality.

Protestors chanted “Commander-in-chief resign, resign,” ripping up pictures of fallen Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo captioning a twitter video of the march with a new list of Iranian regime failures that included “ineptitude.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose country lost 57 Iranian-Canadian dual citizens, demanded compensation from the Iranian government.

Iran is the ninth-worst persecutor of Christians in the world, but the number of believers has leaped since 1994 from around 100,000 people to over three million today.
