Christians arrested in India’s Madhya Pradesh state for false charges of forced conversion

(Worthy News) – In the past 7 days, 8 Christians were attacked in India and charged with forced religious conversions, radicals landing them in prison under an oft-misused law against religious coercion.
Pastor Rahul Para was arrested in the middle of the night and his wife and children forced to flee their home, while in a second incident Pastor Pascal Vadakhiya and three other Christians were attacked by radicals on motorbikes for carrying Bibles on December 7.
In a third instance, three Christians were arrested in Bhadi village at the instigation of members of the Hindu radical group Hindu Yuva Sangatan, who interupted their prayer service.
All the attacks took place in India’s Madhya Pradesh state, where the law forbids forced conversion, even though no Christian has ever been successfully tried on the charge.
