Million hectares lost in Bolivia fires as Amazon continues to burn

(Worthy News) – Fires have ripped through at least a million hectares – approximately 3,800 square miles – in Bolivia.

While the world’s attention has been focused on the destruction to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, neighboring Bolivia is struggling with fires raging through the Robore region.

The fires have doubled in size since Thursday, destroying villages and vast tropical forests near Bolivia’s borders with Paraguay and Brazil. [ Source: Sky News (Read More…) ]
