(Worthy News) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping met in far-eastern Russia on Tuesday, the same day the Kremlin began its biggest military exercise since the Cold War.
A sign of strengthening ties between the two Asian giants, the leaders gathered for two days of talks at the Russian-hosted Eastern Economic Forum in the port city of Vladivostok. It is their third meeting in 2018.
Observers note that economic, political and military ties between the two countries are blossoming as they attempt to counter efforts by the Trump administration to reassert U.S. power throughout Asia. They are also partnering up in the wake of the U.S. trade war. [ Source: Washington Times (Read More…) ]
