A Model of the Temple Brought to the Temple Mount During Pesach Pilgrimage of the Faithful Movement
April 16, 2001
For the first time since the destruction of the temple, a model of the temple was brought to the Temple Mount by The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement.
It was, firstly, a message to the G–d of Israel that His end-time servants, the Faithful Movement, are ready for the rebuilding of His house on the Temple Mount, both spiritually and physically, and that the efforts for the architectural plans will continue even more intensively in the near future. At the same time it was also a clear message to the Arab enemies of Israel who now occupy the Temple Mount and have closed its gates to Jews and Israelis and non-Moslems that their foreign occupation and pagan worship can no longer continue and very soon the time will come when G–d, together with a brave and visionary Israeli Government will remove them and their pagan shrines from the holy mountain of the G–d and people of Israel. It was also a message to all the nations who support the Arabs and the PLO terrorist organisation on the Temple Mount that they cannot prevent the G–d of Israel and His prophetic end-time plans to redeem His holy mountain from a foreign pagan presence and to allow Israel to rebuild His holy temple at this time.
The model is a perfect representation of the Second Temple as a basis for the Third Temple. It is so real that a viewer can feel that one is walking in the temple itself and its chambers.
It was a very exciting and historic moment when the model was carried up to the western gate of the Temple Mount which was closed to the Faithful and the model. It was the first time since the destruction that the Temple Mount and many thousands of Israelis again saw the temple, despite the fact that it was only a model. However the testimony was very clear and exciting and everyone could feel the presence of the G–d of Israel and the march of history in this end-time event. People came and expressed their excited emotions when they touched and even kissed the model with tears in their eyes. Men and women, the elderly and the young, started to pray or to sing Psalms around the model as if they were in the temple itself. Suddenly their dreams, desires, hopes and prayers of almost 2000 years started to be fulfilled. Everyone felt as if a great step towards the rebuilding of the temple had been taken and that the next step, the rebuilding of the temple itself, will come to pass. It was during the festival of the Pesach pilgrimage when hundreds of priests blessed many thousands of Israelis in front of the Western Wall when the hearts of the priests and Israelis were directed to the top of the holy mountain which is behind the wall and the location of the Holy of Holies where the G–d of Israel dwells. These blessings were performed by the priests during the festivals in the temple while they were covered with their prayer shawls and their hands were raised with their fingers spread to form the image of a shin – the first letter of the name of the G–d of Israel. We believe and know that soon they will again do it in the right place inside the temple on the Temple Mount.
This year we could not bring the omer to the Temple Mount because this year is a shmita year, the 7th year when the ground has to remain unplanted and unharvested. In temple times a special part of the fields in Israel was planted specifically for the production of the omer offering so that this holy sacrifice which was only for G–d Himself was not prevented. Also this offering only for G–d was brought to the temple from the safiach, the grain which had sprouted from seeds which had fallen during harvest of the previous year and which had not been tended to except that the plants had been protected from animals and other pollution or damage because it was holy and dedicated as an offering to G–d in the temple. We could not plant a special part of land for the omer or take it from the safiach because this can only be done when the temple exists. We are praying and will do our best to see that next year the omer will be brought to the rebuilt temple.
The march and the pilgrimage of the Temple Mount Faithful Movement to the Temple Mount took place during this Pesach at a very critical time in Israel when the violence of the terrorists of the murderer, Arafat, continues. The terrorists, Yasser Arafat and his friend Faisel Housseini, warned the Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, against opening the Temple Mount to Jewish pilgrims. Over the last six months, the Temple Mount has been closed by the Arabs to Jews and Christians since the beginning of the violence. The last Jew to visit the Temple Mount was Ariel Sharon himself in September last year. As we stated in our previous report, the Prime Minister commanded the security forces of Israel to find a way to open the Temple Mount to Jews and Christians. When the Temple Mount Faithful came to the Temple Mount last Tuesday, 10th April 2001, they found all the gates of the Temple Mount closed to them and to everyone else. Hundreds of young Arabs demonstrated inside the Temple Mount beside the Western Gate to prevent the Faithful from entering. Later, when the Faithful marched to the other gates of the Temple Mount the did they sam thing at those gates after having been inflamed to do so by Faisel Husseini. Unfortunately, Ariel Sharon did not fulfil his promise and did not disperse this violent demonstration of the Arabs in the most holy place of the G–d and people of Israel and all the earth and open the gates to the Faithful and all the Israelis and tourists. It was a demonstration of weakness in the eyes of the Arab terrorists and it encouraged them to continue their violence.
The many members of the Faithful Movement and other Israelis who supported them did not give up. They marched up to the closed Western gate of the Temple Mount where they demonstrated our obedience to the G–d of Israel and His Word and commandment to make the pilgrimage to His holy mountain. In front of this closed gate Gershon Salomon spoke, not only to the Faithful, but to all the people of Israel to be strong with G–d and not to fear the enemies and to encourage Ariel Sharon to immediately open the Temple Mount to Israelis and anyone else who wants to visit the hill of G–d, and to remove the foreigners, their pagan shrines and their abomination of the holy hill of G–d and to rebuild the Third Temple the task for which he was chosen by such a great majority of the Israeli nation. He called on the Israeli nation to be ready for difficult times and, together with G–d, to be encouraged and strengthened to defeat the enemies who want to destroy Israel and what G–d is doing with this nation at this time of redemption. He said that, exactly as was prophesied in the Scriptures, the time when all the Arab countries and their allies all over the world come to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem and the land away from her, has already started and the judgement of G–d on them here in Jerusalem when they gather in the holy capital of the G–d and people of Israel is soon to come. He called on Israel to overcome this critical time together with G–d Who, as He promised, continues to control the destiny of Israel and to take care of His nation. He called on them to be strong and not to be afraid and to be ready for the great day which is soon to come when the Third Temple will be rebuilt, Mashiach ben David will come and all the Promised Land will be finally given to the people of Israel. He called on Ariel Sharon not to forget that the destiny of the people and land of Israel will be decided on the Temple Mount and to remember that he was elected as Prime Minister a short time after he had walked up onto the Temple Mount.
An exciting moment occurred when the Faithful prayed the Pesach prayers and the Hallel Psalms (113-118) which were prayed and sung by the Levites and the Israelites in the temple during the 3 pilgrimage festivals of Pesach, Shavuoth and Sukkoth. All have a very real meaning for our time especially Psalm 118.
Psalm 118
O give thanks to the Lord; for he is good; because his loving kindness endures for ever.
Let Israel now say, that his loving kindness endures for ever.
Let the house of Aaron now say, that his loving kindness endures for ever.
Let now those who fear the Lord say, that his loving kindness endures for ever.
In distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me, and set me free.
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear; what can man do to me?
The Lord takes my part with those who help me; therefore I shall gaze upon those who hate me.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
All nations surround me; but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off.
They surround me; indeed, they surround me; but in the name of the Lord I will cut them down.
They surround me like bees; they are quenched like a fire of thorns; for in the name of the Lord I will cut them off.
You pushed me hard that I might fall; but the Lord helped me.
The Lord is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does bravely.
The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does bravely.
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
The Lord has chastised me severely; but he has not given me over to death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord;
This is the gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.
I will give you thanks; for you have answered me, and you have become my salvation.
The stone which the builders rejected has become the head stone of the corner.
This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Save us, we beseech you, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech you, send us prosperity!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; we have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
God is the Lord, who has shown us light; bind the sacrifice with cords, to the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, I will exalt you.
O give thanks to the Lord; for he is good; for his loving kindness endures for ever.
A special moment which will not be forgotten was when the Faithful and the pilgrims swore their eternal faithfulness to G–d, His holy mountain, His holy city, Jerusalem, and to the promised land that He gave to Israel. The feeling was that we were experiencing the Biblical time and reality when the Voice was heard all over the holy hill of G–d. “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember you, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy.†(Psalm 137:5,6) We shall sware this again and again whenever we come to the holy hill of G–d in Jerusalem exactly as our forefathers did and, thanks to this faithfulness, G–d brought us back to His hill, Jerusalem and the promised land and gave its sovereignty back to us forever. We stated that never again will we allow the heart of the Israeli nation to fall.
Later the Faithful and many Israelis who followed them, including friends of the Faithful from outside Israel, marched and circled the Temple Mount and its gates and in the streets of Old City of Jerusalem blowing shofars all over the gates and walls of the Temple Mount exactly as Joshua ben Nun did at Jericho 3,300 years ago. The marchers called on Ariel Sharon to immediately prevent the destruction of the remains of the First and Second Temples which the Arabs are carrying out on the Temple Mount and to discover the lower levels of the First and Second Temples which still exist as a holy treasure for Israel and all the world as an opening for the rebuilding of the temple. When the marchers came to the holy eastern gate of the Temple Mount through which Mashiach ben David will enter the temple, they called on Ariel Sharon to unlock the holy gate and to immediately open it to Israel as an important step in the redemption of the holy hill of G–d and Israel. In front of this gate an exciting ceremony of renewal the eternal covenant between the G–d , the people and the land of Israel was conducted. Before continuing the march all stated with great excitement what million of Jews had repeatedly stated since the destruction of the Second Temple when their when their eyes and hearts were lifted to the holy hill of G–d in Jerusalem, to the Temple Mount: I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Mashiach and, though he tarry, yet will I daily wait for his coming. Before this holy gate of the Temple Mount we felt that he is soon to come. The presence and glory of the G–d of Israel was so strong amongst us while were in front of the eastern gate as well as throughout this godly event.
Many members of the Israeli and international media covered this important and exciting event and the godly message was spread all over the world to prepare everyone for the exciting and critical times that are ahead.
Soon the Temple Mount Faithful Movement will again march to the Temple Mount on the 21st May, the day commemorating the liberation of Jerusalem during the godly Six Day War of 1967. We shall later share more details of this event.
Everyone is called on to participate in the historical godly campaign and struggle of the Temple Mount Faithful Movement and to assist us to accomplish the prophetic end-time task which G–d gave us at this great and critical time of redemption. This is the clear word of G–d in prophecy and His expectation for everyone of us. As we see, time is short and everyone is called on to join their hands with ours. We are a privileged generation to live in these exciting times and to be a part of such a godly work of which so many generations before us dreamed and desired to be a part.
