The Faithful are Allowed to Carry the Cornerstone to the Area of the Hulda Gates of the Temple Mount
July 26, 2001
Yesterday the Israeli Supreme Court made an important decision as a result of the petition submitted by The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement. They decided that the Faithful Movement would be allowed to bring the cornerstone on a truck to the area of the southern Hulda Gates of the Temple Mount which, in the First and Second Temple times, were the main entrance for millions of Israelites to enter the Temple Mount for worship. The area is between the northern part of the historic City of David and the Hulda Gates and has a very important historical significance. On the one hand it was the main entrance to the Temple Mount in Biblical times while on the other hand it was the location of the palace of King David and the public buildings of his rule.
However the Supreme Court decided to delay its deliberation and decision with regard to the opening of the gates of the Temple Mount which are still closed to the Faithful Movement and anyone else who wants to go up onto the Temple Mount on Tisha b’Av or any other time. They delayed their deliberations until after Tisha b’Av which means the Temple Mount will remain closed on Tisha b’Av which is not a good decision. Despite this, the decision to bring the cornerstone to this historical site is important and has great significance. The cornerstone will be brought so close to the Temple Mount to the area where King David brought the Ark of the Covenant and then located it on the Temple Mount. We shall do the same with the cornerstone. We shall bring it to this holy place and, exactly as King David did, we shall anoint it to be located on the holy site of the temple on the Temple Mount and this is a great step towards the rebuilding of the temple. The next step, which we believe will happen soon, will be to locate the cornerstone on the Temple Mount as King David with the Ark of the Covenant. We have no doubt that the laying of this cornerstone will soon mark the commencement of the rebuilding of the temple. No one can prevent the march of end-time history.
This area has another significance in that it is the place where millions of Israelis throughout history have walked before entering the Temple Mount . It is also the area where the prophets and the kings of Israel walked on their way to worship the G–d of Israel. Now the first cornerstone for the last 2000 years will take the same route to the holy site of G–d.
It was also a evolutionary decision of the Supreme Court. As we reported in our previous article, the authorities had forbidden us to even move the cornerstone from the place where it stood in a traffic circle close to the Damascus Gate because of fear of the Arab and international reaction. Now the Supreme Court has allowed us to move it from the site. More than this, when Gershon Salomon spoke before the judges of the supreme Court and called on them to make this historical decision, the President of the Supreme Court, Aaron Barak, replied that the hearts of the judges were with him although they could not make a decision regarding the opening of the gates of the Temple Mount which was the responsibility of the Israeli Government.
When Gershon stated that he had been pursuing the campaign for 30 years, Aaron Brakan answered that he had been with him in the campaign during this time. Gershon’s words, which he said were the words of G–d, moved the hearts of the judges and the people who were listening to the discussion of the petitiion and it symbolised the revolution which had occurred thanks to the blessings of G–d and due to the long campaign of the Temple Mount Faithful Movement which moved the hearts of the Israeli people and many others all over the world and prepared them, not only to appreciate and love the Temple Mount and the rebuilding of the temple so much, but also to understand the deep significance of the great godly time in which we are now living and made them ready for the imminent great day of the rebuilding of the house of G–d on Mt. Moriah.
Also the Supreme Court decided that we be allowed to hold a solemn assembly in front of the Western gate of the Temple Mount. We shall do this on Sunday morning at 09:30AM after the anointing of the cornerstone. At this solemn assembly we shall call on the Israeli Government to immediately open the Temple Mount and to allow the cornerstone to be laid on the Temple Mount itself. This will be not only be a day of mourning and fasting for the destruction of the First and Second Temples for us but also a day which, from now and forevermore, will bring a new significance to Tisha b’Av. This will be the first Tisha b’Av since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70CE. that a cornerstone has been brought to the Temple Mount to start the rebuilding of the temple. This will be a Tisha b’Av which will be remembered both as the day of destruction as well as the day when the rebuilding started. We shall read from the Book of Lamentations so as not to forget the lesson of the destruction and we shall pray for the new era that we open through the cornerstone.
As we mentioned in our previous article, the prophet Zechariah stated that one day in the end-times, the fast of Tisha b’Av will become a time of joy. We want to say to Zechariah that the great dream and vision which G–d gave him and his people starts to become a reality on this day. We thank the G–d of Israel that He gave us this great privilege to be the first builders of the end-time temple and to be those to whom G–d gave the great honour to bring the first cornerstone to the Temple Mount on Tisha b’Av.
I want to bring a word from G–d to the enemies of Israel and to all the nations in the world. Do not even try to prevent this godly event and process. The purification of the Temple Mount from the foreigners and enemies of Israel and their desecration of the holy site of G–d and the rebuilding of the temple cannot be prevented. This is a major historical, prophetic, end-time event which the G–d of Israel and the Universe will soon bring to completion in our lifetime. G–d anointed Israel to rebuild this house and to serve Him in this great house not only for the people of Israel but for all the nations as the prophet Isaiah stated – “… for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.†(Isaiah56:7)
This is an event for the favour not only of the people of G–d. Israel, but for all the nations which will change the life of all mankind and will open a godly peaceful and moral era for all the world as G–d taught us thousands of years ago when He spoke this to the prophet Isaiah. “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.†(Isaiah2:1-5)
Let all us, in Israel and all over the world, walk in the light of the G–d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Let us all rebuild the tower of light, the temple, in the midst of the ocean of darkness at this immoral time. The light of G–d at the top of this godly tower will illumine all of us and everyone will lift their eyes towards it to find the right moral direction of life and behaviour.
The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement calls on everyone in Israel and all over the world to be with us on this day either physically or in their hearts and prayers. We call on everyone to fast on this day and to read and pray the Book of Lamentations, Psalm 79, Isaiah 2:1-5 and Zechariah8. On this day the eyes of all of us will be lifted to the G–d of Israel and to the major future of the rebuilding that He promised us, However at the same time wi will not forget the lessons of the past destructions. Everyone is also called on to be with the Temple Mount Faithful Movement spiritually, morally and physically. Together with your cooperation and assistance this godly revolution will soon come to pass in our lifetime. May the G–d of Israel continue to bless all His followers and those who love and fulfil His Word.
