Two rockets fired from Egypt’s Sinai toward southern Israel

(Worthy News) – Two rockets were fired at southern Israel from Egypt’s Sinai desert on Sunday evening, the Israeli army said.
The army and a spokesperson for the Eshkol Regional Council said that no injuries or damage were reported and that searches for projectiles are ongoing.
While rockets are occasionally fired from Gaza toward Israel, launches from militants operating in Egypt have been more rare in recent years.
In the last few days there has been an uptick of attacks against Egyptian military targets in the Sinai, carried out by the region’s Islamic State (IS) offshoot. [ Source: i24 (Read More…) ]
