(Worthy News) – The United States and France warned the Syrian regime on Sunday against trying to disrupt the fragile ceasefire as the warring sides prepared for fresh peace talks to end the brutal conflict.
With the five-year anniversary of the violence looming, the main players in the Syrian conflict were on Monday to resume UN-brokered indirect negotiations in Geneva in the latest bid to end bloodshed which has killed more than 270,000 people.
After meeting with European allies in Paris, US Secretary of State John Kerry hit out at comments by his Syrian counterpart who said talk of removing President Bashar al-Assad would be a “red line” in the negotiations.[ Source ]
