(Worthy News) – A convert to Christianity was forced to stop her medical treatments and return to an Iranian prison.
According to Barnabas Aid, Maryam Naghash Zargaran — a 36-year-old convert from Islam — was granted a medical leave in October, but was then compelled to abandon her treatments after Tehran’s Attorney General refused to extend it.
Zargaran, who was arrested in 2012, had just completed more than half of her four-year sentence when she had a heart attack while in prison; she has required regular medical appointments for her condition ever since.
Although Zargaran had heart surgery, prison conditions have caused her health to continue to deteriorate.
